Langebaan is one of the safest coastal towns in South Africa. SeasTheDay is in the secure Schaapenzicht Estate with gated access. Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM, with checkout before 10:00 AM, arranged directly via WhatsApp after booking — most likely Wilma, who assists us in Langebaan, will welcome you in person.

SeasTheDay features absolute prime lagoon frontage. You are situated directly on the shore with access to the main beach. Walk straight out the garden gate, launch your kite right on the beach in front of the house, and sail directly onto the flat-water Langebaan Lagoon. No packing gear into cars required.

The house has 3 sleeping areas: 1 en-suite master bedroom, a spacious loft bedroom, and a twin room — sleeping up to 6 guests across 2 bathrooms. You'll find a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ grill, washer with drying rack, Wi-Fi, a 50-inch HDTV, inside lounge, and an outside dining area with lagoon views.

Langebaan's kite season runs roughly October to March, driven by the Cape south-easter (locally 'the Cape Doctor'). December and January are the most consistent months for strong wind, with October, November and March still solid but with more light-wind days mixed in — check the live forecast on our wind page before you book.

A lockable courtyard room off the entrance hall is set aside for kites, boards, wetsuits and other watersport gear, and it's included with every stay — rig on the beach, then lock everything away between sessions.

Yes — free parking for 2 cars at the house, inside the gated estate. Once you've arrived you won't need the car for the beach: it's right through the garden gate.

The house has a standby inverter that keeps the Wi-Fi and TV running through load shedding, so you can still work, stream or check the wind forecast.

Yes — families are a big part of who stays here. There's an open lawn at the house for kids to play on, lockable metal shutters, a full kitchen for family meals, and the beach is a short walk over the dune. The lagoon water in front of the estate is sheltered and shallow near the shore, but children should always be supervised at the water.

Langebaan is about 1 hour 15 minutes' drive (roughly 125 km) north of Cape Town on the R27 West Coast Road, and about 1 hour 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. You'll want a car for the trip; once you're here, the beach, restaurants and shops are close by.
